What the lovely?! If you live in the Salt Lake Valley and you are not outside right now, get there!! It is fantastic out today! I woke up grumpy. Today is Day 1 of changing our lifestyle to a more healthy one. I count that as a fair explanation.
I packed some lunches, cleaned some, yelled & banged things around some, and fed him this terrible looking concoction.
And he may have worked a smile out of me while I fed him breakfast. Who can be sure?
The shrimp & I took the big kids to their off-track sport program. They love it. I love it. Beautiful.
Upon returning home, I looked at that bright blue sky and glorious sunshine. I thought about the laundry, bathrooms, & messy kitchen calling to me to clean them from inside. We opted for an hour long walk.
We saw garbage and thought of the lady we met yesterday who recently moved from Minnesota to Utah and was appalled at how much trash is e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e. So Brayden & I felt the need to pick up what we could. Cause who really wants to be part of the "trash state?" Yikes!
Then Brayden & I were followed by a barking dog that set other dogs off with his little yipping. He followed us to the end of his street and knew he could not go further. Either that, or Brayden's growling scared him off. We're not sure.
We saw a tractor load up a dump truck with dirt. We swung on some swings. After I pushed him, we both got on the big girl's swing and we went really high and he giggled the whole time & made hissing noises as we swooped through the air.
He was mortified when he realized that we were in public while he was still in his pj's.
Then we walked around a bit of the lake that is partially frozen. We saw & heard the ducks & seagulls squawking at each other and that was very exciting for the little stroller passenger.
On our way home, we heard a burst of giggling and saw little littles pouring out of a house with their backpacks on. Apparently there's a preschool there. Surprise! What a fun noise to come across.
We walked further past my kid's school and could see all the kid's wild adventures at recess accompanied by constant little girls screams and yelling as they all ran amuck.
And then we got the mail.
I love living here.
