Sick Day

I feel rather terrible today. When I talk, it sounds grating and echoes in my head. My ears, nose, & throat hurt. Thank the glorious heavens I'm not coughing. The babe is sick too with something else. My oldest 2 are off-track & jeepers, I love them. Did you need some examples of their sweetness?

While they are off track, they've been attending this little sports camp type thing that they love. I pack lunches to send with them every day. Well, today momma was out of commission. I fed & changed the baby & laid back down.Brandt asked how I was feeling and then he & Brooklyn did everything they could possibly do to get themselves ready & watched Brayden for me. I realized at some point that we needed to go to the grocery store this morning before they went. And my body said, "Nooooooooooo!"

But we did. We went. Me with hair & face undone, crying randomly. Because that's what I do when I'm feeling like Yuckso McGee. And those kids of mine were SO good in the store, I didn't have to remind them even once.

And my sweet Peanut left this for me.

And he made this for me this morning.

And Brooklyn made me this.

If you're out searching the world for the best kids on the planet, they're at my house. Waiting for the garbage truck, in fact.

p.s. I cut his hair. I'm not going to pretend I did a good job of it.

But the highchair and this distracting little lady did help out quite a bit.
