I love color, a LOT.
My current house is like a crayon box. And I like it because color makes me feel alive. I've always had the mindset of keeping furniture neutral and changing out the wall color. Which, is much easier, less expensive, & changes the look of your room dramatically in a day's time. Fantastic!!
But now I'm moving to a house that has beautiful new neutral paint all throughout that I don't dare mess with because I really like it. But when I move all my neutral furniture into it....part of me may die with ALL that neutral surrounding me.
So.....
Today, just now in fact, I decided on a color pallet for my new house. The walls will remain neutral, but a lot of furniture will be painted and throw pillows thrown in and a loveseat is going to brave a reupholstering. This has been keeping me up at night people. Deciding on a color pallet.
And maybe I come across as crazy. But everyone has their thing. And this is mine.
And so I present to you my giggle & squeal idea of the morning:
Teal (varied light & dark)
Chartreuse
Plum
Mustard
Espresso
GET EXCITED!!!!
& a dark olive green! I forgot that.

Now I won't be able to sleep for two reasons; 1.) just the excitement of it all.. and 2.) the misspelling of the word palette unless your dream is to have the most colorful pallet a forklift would ever want...
: - )
I stay up thinking of these types of things too, which I am sure no one would guess seeing as my house is about as plain jane as it gets right now. Good luck. I think its going to look great. Especially the mustard. I think that brings all the colors together.
I love love color too, I mean our couch is actually purple. Along with our bedroom dressers peach, and our kitchen table soon to be yellow. Since we live in apartments I like to paint and recover our furniture since we cant redo our walls. So I am very excited for you. The colors look awesome :-)
Can't wait to see pictures of your new place!
P.S. I could use your painting skills at my house, just F.Y.I. :)
Love the color choices! I can't wait to see how it all turns out. :)
There are people that just know what looks good!!!! You are one of them, I trust everything about your style you have an eye for things. I can't wait to see what you do with your new house, I love your cute cottage house too, it's so cozy. I have stayed awake rearranging furniture in a house I have moved into yet until my brain hurt! Then when I did get to finally do it the scale in my brain wasnt even close to the actual room size??? But I lloved the process of it! I am so excited for you.
